How to set up tiered trade pricing in Linnworks

Linnworks stores one retail price per product. Trade businesses need several — a Trade price, a Wholesale price, maybe an Enterprise contract price. Here's how to run that cleanly.

The three pieces you need

  1. Named tiers. Decide your ladder — e.g. Trade, Wholesale, RRP. Every SKU carries a price for each.
  2. A rule per tier. Rather than typing thousands of prices, drive each tier with a formula — cost × markup, or RRP × discount — and let it fill the catalogue. Add attractive rounding so nothing lands on £7.03.
  3. Customers mapped to tiers. Each account belongs to one tier. Pricing then follows the customer automatically wherever you sell to them.

Storing it back in Linnworks

The neat trick is pushing your tier prices back into Linnworks as native extended properties on each stock item — so the prices live in Linnworks itself, not a disconnected third-party store you have to keep in sync.

Where it pays off

Once tiers exist, taking a trade order stops being a lookup exercise. Pick the customer, and their tier price drops onto every line. No spreadsheet, no memory, no undercharging by accident.

We built B2B Price Tiers to do exactly this: unlimited named tiers, a formula engine, attractive rounding, a spreadsheet-style grid for the edge cases, CSV import/export, and two-way Linnworks sync. It feeds Trade Order POS so counter staff never touch a price. £29.99/mo, 14-day free trial.
